Exponential Impact
In celebration of Coca-Cola's centennial in 1986, Crawford T. Johnson, III, of Coca-Cola UNITED and Roberto Goizueta of The Coca-Cola Company joined hands and announced the creation of a scholarship program that would empower young leaders in the communities that Coca-Cola serves.
Three decades later, the Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the country.
This investment of the Coca-Cola system has brought together over 6,000 of the most talented, compassionate, and extraordinary people into a single network, awarding more than $78 million in scholarships to help make their dreams of a better future for all of us a reality.

I am so proud to be a Coca-Cola Scholar. It was almost exactly a decade ago that I got the honor of joining this incredible group of change-makers, and it continues to remain a vibrant and vital community. From life-long friendships to one of my interviewers becoming a mentor and then a Board member of my nonprofit, the network never ceases to amaze me. I’m excited for 10,000 more!
I cannot wait for my children and their children to be Coke Scholars too! What a refreshing vision of our future! This scholarship was life changing at so many turns for me. I’m grateful to be a part of this family.

This is a great start! I can’t wait to see the actions under the strategic goals! I’d like to suggest in helping empower those next 10,000 create a mentorship program where more established scholar alumni is paired with the recent college grads. Recent College Grads paired with next class who just went through what they experienced to help them be more successful in college!
