August 2024 Accolades

Gabriel Nagel (2023) was selected as the Chairperson of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s National Environmental Youth Advisory Council, making him the youngest Chairperson of an official U.S. federal advisory council. 

August 2024 Connections

Coke Scholars connected all over the world last month, including in France, Italy, Germany, and South Africa.

July 2024 Accolades

2023 Scholars Reya Singh and Mandy Zhang created New Roots Financial, an organization dedicated to helping immigrants and refugees become financially literate, after they connected at the 2023 Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Development Institute.

Heather Tell (1992) and Angela Orange (1998) were both elected to the Georgia School Board Association, and Derrius Quarles (2009) was accepted into the newest class of TED residents.

December 2017 Connections

Wesli Jones (2012) – producer at CNN, cancer survivor, and voice of the #CocaColaRenew campaign – came by CCSF to say hello, and The Coca-Cola Company invited our New York Scholars to the National Forest Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Dinner.

Scholars got together on campus at Brown, UPenn, Cornell, and the University of Southern California, and alumni met up in New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.
