Our team had dinner with Coke Scholars Mike Woodward (2004), Erin Muffoletto (2003), Esteban Abeyta (2015), and Yalda Barlas (2012) in Albuquerque while they were in town for the National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) Conference. CCSF is proud to be a founding member of NSPA.
USC Scholars Justin Kawaguchi (2017), Cooper Yerby (2015), Jenny Ha (2018), Nihar Sheth (2017), Estephanie Garcia (2018), and Talie Cloud (2018) gathered for a Slices for Scholars Event. At these events, Coca-Cola Scholars on the same campus get together for pizza and a Coke.
Princeton Scholars Dora Zhao (2017), Gabriella Carter (2018), Rola Adebogun (2018), Aryamen Khandelwal (2018), Jonathan Haynes (2016), and Sunny Sandhu (2016) gathered for pizza, too.
Coke Scholars Kyle Saleeby (2013), Julia Durham Goering (2010), and Kristen Unterberger (1991, right) attended the Fernbank Gala “A Timeless Affair 2018: Beautiful Beasts” in Atlanta as guests of The Coca-Cola Company. They ran into J.J. Jaxon (1994, second from right) who was also there with his wife.
Ingrid Loveras (2008) came by our office to visit. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College and now works for Teach for America Houston. Fellow Scholar Pegah Taylor (2003) has a KIPP school in Houston and the two now work together.
CCSF hit the road last September, visiting Coke Scholars in Boston, New Haven, Princeton, Philadelphia, and Chicago, connecting with over 225 Scholars!
Gabriel Nagel (2023) was selected as the Chairperson of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s National Environmental Youth Advisory Council, making him the youngest Chairperson of an official U.S. federal advisory council.
