November 2024 Connections

New York Receptions

Loved seeing so many (about 100!) of our Coke Scholars in NYC this month for not one, but TWO receptions! We are grateful to the team at Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages for hosting us in their beautiful space.

First NYC Reception
Second NYC Reception
The next morning, Jane, Kyle, and Carolyn (CCSF) had coffee with Natalie Gale (2017) and Brad Mauney (1999), who couldn’t make the reception the night before.

Alumni Board Retreat

The CCSF Alumni Board had their annual retreat in Atlanta, where they planned for the upcoming year. Coke Scholars, be on the lookout for some new programs, giving opportunities and more in 2025!

Coke Scholar Meet Ups

Erika Cabrero (2015) and Brianna Pomatico (2007) attended the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s Hall of Fame Gala in NYC as guests of The Coca-Cola Company.
2015 and 2016 Coke Scholars in NYC got together for Friendsgiving to celebrate the season!
Erin Muffoletto (2003) and Marc Eichenbaum (2000) ran into each other at a conference in Albuquerque.
Sue Suh (1992) and Eva Amesse (2007) ran into each other at a conference in New York City.
And speaking of Eva, check out her baby news in the “Celebrations” photo album in Coke Scholars Connect!
Tekay King (1989) connected with Mark Hendrickx (1997) over a Coke Break.

Tekay wrote about another one of his Coke Breaks experiences with Tracy Adams (1990) – “It was wonderful to talk about Hurricanes and family, and technology and introducing her to more of the ARTS and how much CCSF means to us. We even discussed LDI. I wish we could have done a video call, but it was still so worth it.”

Coke Scholars can sign up for Coke Breaks in 3 month increments at the beginning of January.
After a retreat in Blairsville, Georgia, Carolyn Norton (CCSF) visited Jaime Broadhead Levins (2002) and her kids (Thomas, age 3, and Caroline, age 1), who live nearby.
