Scholars at Washington University in St. Louis also enjoyed pizza and Coke at a Slices for Scholars event, which included Jessika Baral (2017), Jack Terschluse (2012), Meenu Bhooshanan (2018), and Anamika Basu (2018).
Coke Scholars in D.C. attended the AAPD Leadership Awards Gala as guests of The Coca-Cola Company. Jessica Qu (2006), Megan Rosenberger (2013), Brittany Partridge (2009), Steven Olikara (2008), Jillian Ross (2012), Greg Melia (1989), Manraj Singh (2012), and Jordyn Turner (2012) connected over Cokes!
Coke Scholars in New York City were able to attend the Jackie Robinson Foundation Awards Dinner as guests of The Coca-Cola Company. Scholars who attended included: Arjun Agarwala (2011), Quintin Haynes (2007), Heather O’Dell (1997), Jumoke Opeyemi (2014) and Lael Chappell (2002) – featured here with Felicia Wasson (top left) from The Coca-Cola Company.

Bryce Leafman (2012), a percussionist in the Bay area, was in Atlanta auditioning for the symphony and needed a place to stay, and fellow Scholar Benie Bolohan (2014) offered to host him. They did not know each other before but now they are fast friends! That’s the power of the Scholars network. (He came by to see the CCSF staff, too!)
Erin Husbands (2003) visited Coca-Cola headquarters while in Atlanta with friends. She owns a pageant consulting company in Baton Rouge called The Crowing Moment. and will be competing in the Miss Earth Pageant in Las Vegas in June! She shared on Instagram, “Being a @cokescholars not only helped pay for school, but gave me a lifelong network and support system that literally spans the globe.”
CCSF hit the road last September, visiting Coke Scholars in Boston, New Haven, Princeton, Philadelphia, and Chicago, connecting with over 225 Scholars!
Gabriel Nagel (2023) was selected as the Chairperson of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s National Environmental Youth Advisory Council, making him the youngest Chairperson of an official U.S. federal advisory council.
