In our third stage of selection, our Regional Interview Committee, comprised of staff and alumni, engage in interviews with our Regional Finalists across the country. Interviews were held locally in San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, Austin, DC, and Atlanta. Thank you to the wonderful alumni who served on our Regional Interview Committee and the Scholar volunteers who greeted our interviewees.
While in town, staff had the opportunity to get together with even more alumni at small dinners.
Chicago

Gabriel Nagel (2023) was selected as the Chairperson of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s National Environmental Youth Advisory Council, making him the youngest Chairperson of an official U.S. federal advisory council.
