Emmy-award winning journalist Kate Sullivan (1994) is hosting a new show called To Dine For with Kate Sullivan on public television stations nationwide. The show is an invitation to dine with some of the world’s most brilliant and innovative minds. During each episode, Kate travels the world to interview the guest at their favorite restaurant. In the first season, she is interviewing 3 Coke Scholars: Kathryn Minshew (2004, founder of The Muse and pictured above with Kate), Kavita Shukla (2002, inventor of Freshpaper), and Leila Janah (2000, founder of Samasource and LXMI). Nekia Hackworth Jones (1995) was chosen as one of Georgia’s Most Powerful and Influential Women as part of Women Looking Ahead magazine’s annual Law and Justice Awards. The publication recognizes attorneys and judges who have devoted their careers to serving the public interest in their respective pursuits of justice, and their efforts result in positive change within the community-at-large, the state, or the nation.

Christopher Benos (2014) released his first studio album, “Lost Boy”. The album of impressionistic piano music was written and recorded in Aix-en-Provence. Some of the tracks were inspired by time spent studying and walking in the steps of Cézanne, others by time spent in the lavender plateau of Valensole. Lost Boy is available on all major music streaming platforms, including Spotify.

Nadya Okamoto (2016) published her first book, Period Power. In the book, the PERIOD founder and Harvard College student offers a manifesto on menstruation and why we can no longer silence those who bleed—and how to engage in youth activism. Read a preview on Teen Vogue’s website.

Nkem Okafor (2002) won the table takeover contest on CBS’s The Talk. In her segment, she discussed Amber Guyger, the off-duty Dallas police officer who shot her neighbor in his home and claimed she’d mistaken his apartment for her own with the show’s co-hosts.

Michael K. Woods (2013) released a new single and music video called Bass of My Heart.
